Surrounded by Bangkok’s most famous shopping district and CBD, guests of the hotel are expected to visiting Bangkok for tourism and business purpose. After the guests have enjoined their stay or completed their works, before they embark for their next destination, they tend to buy souvenirs or receive gifts from their local business partners as a sign of Thai hospitality.

Out of all souvenirs and gifts they brought back home, the one that would impress them the most are likely to be Thai artisan objects such as handcraft utensils, textiles and sweets. Most of the time, these goods are being packed in a local distinctive container called “Cha-lom” which is an object that could represent the world-renowned Thai hospitality. Inspired by the quality of symbolization of this unique container, the characteristics of the silhouette and interlacing pattern of Cha-lom are being incorporated into the design of the building shape and façade as a mean to make the building standing out from the ever-emerging high-rise in the area with attitude.
