Pandemic Park Design Experiment

Program : Park
Building Area : N/A
Location : N/A
Status : Design Experiment
Project Team : Punpong Wiwatkul, Patipan Yuthanakornkul

The pandemic has suddenly occurred, which affect people’s daily life. Everyone has been asking for a normal life, but there is no public space design that supports this urgent event which all of the activity ends up at your doorstep.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could go out for a walk with our family?

Wouldn't it be nice if we could go out riding a bike?

Wouldn't it be nice if we were able to run and exercise while keeping our distance, isolate and safe

A.MAZE concerned most with the distancing and the principle of perception, the design based on the distance length between people. From Belgian-Dutch study , walking distance of people moving in the same direction in 1 line should be at least 4–5 meters, for running and slow biking it should be 20 meters. Therefore, the track and distancing design are composed of both elevating and sight perception of humans.
